So I recently bought a drawing tablet and have been having a blast drawing again. I don't remember the last time I had so much fun drawing.
Well, here is my first piece. A one panel comic for practice. Critiques are welcome.

There's a place off Ocean Ave
The first time I heard Yellowcard was in middle school and the song was "Lights and Sounds". My friends really liked it, but I thought it was just ok.
Fast forward to about 5 years later when I was going through some dark times in community college, I decided to download their album Ocean Ave. I became hooked on that album. Lyrically I was able to connect to most of their songs and the music is both high in energy and sentimental.
Many nights have I fallen asleep to that album. I've also been listening to their recent stuff and they're pretty good. I've been listening to a lot of Southern Air. Last Sunday, I decided to check them out live. Emarosa and Memphis May Fire were openers for them.
Emarosa. Pretty hardcore punk rock band. Never heard of them though
Memphis May Fire. Also never heard of them, but they put on a pretty good show
Moshers
All of sudden another guitarist plays with the band
He even gave the lead singer a piggy back ride
Yellowcard!
Pretty good show. The band really exposed to us their struggles. Ryan's (the lead singer's) wife is recovering from a back injury and Sean (the violinist) is battling with thyroid cancer and winning.
I sang my lungs out and left as a sweaty mess.
Fin.

Tim Draper's Hero City Hackathon
Today was my first hackathon in attendance and it was a small one located in San Mateo.
There was three categories to hack for: best health idea, best small business idea, best bitcoin idea.
Alright, I get there, get my swag, and finally find my teammate Louis. He was already there and talking to a bunch of other people. He was a nerd lol, but with that came his knowledge in math and physics. We all chatted about out backgrounds, and what schools we went to.
Eventually things came time for crack-a-lackin, and I found myself in a team of three with Louis and a bitcoin eccentric guy named Elliot. He was pretty much your average, thin guy with subtle hipsterdom.
Intro to the hackathon.
It took about TWO HOURS to decide on an idea, but we decided to go with a silly bitcoin idea to make it rain with the action of swiping bills off your phone and people nearby will get the coins. I laughed initially, but absolutely loved it.

The Main Screen. Just to sweeten the deal, it would make a Lil John "Yea" whenever a coin was flicked. And receiving phones will hear a coin drop sound.
In the end even though my teammates tried to help, I coded EVERYTHING. From Android to server and in between. I felt a bit frustrated at that but people shone through in their own ways. For example Elliott was the one who came up with the idea and was a bitcoin subject matter expert. The other Louis tried to help with backend and the bitcoin transaction but came up short with his limited experience. He did however give an extremely entertaining presentation- something in which I never saw coming from him and would accredit it as the main reason in why we won our category. He conveyed the idea that this app is easy, fun and can really promote the use of bitcoins in a very eccentric tone of voice and body language.
Btw, we ended up winning our category.

Elliott left early for work, but I became good friends with Utsab (a jounalist) and Louis.
The prizes were toys and 2 months of office space at this place. I donated my toy to the Boys and Girls Club that also attended the event and were big fans of our app. I would've never played with it if I kept it. The main coordinator saw my deed and even gave me a bro hug lol.
Later that night I shared a cup of sanity with my homies, Alex and G.

California Academy of Sciences
No matter how old I get, the Academy of Sciences will always be fun to me. Went there with my girlfriend yesterday and even though they've remodeled a lot since my memories, it was still fun!

The aquarium!
This little guy did not like me at all. It kept swimming at me like it wanted to tackle me.

There was glass to separate me and this thing, but it still gave me shivers.

Entering into the rain forest, we were greeted by these two.

This butterfly landed on a stroller as we reached the canopy of the forest. Those eyes are so cool!

Kite Festival in Berkeley
Last weekend, me and my girlfriend checked out the kite festival. And no, we weren't high or hippies but it was still a nice to see a whole bunch of kites flying in the air. Check out some shots!

A Hike Around Lake Anza and a Pier
Last Saturday me and my girlfriend hiked around Lake Anza. There was a good amount of people here although it's seemingly in secluded part of the Bay Area. Overall, it was a pleasant hike and I was able to get some good shots. Take a look. :)
The Lake. You can see people swimming (getting slimy) and beaching in the distance.
The type of terrain that we trekked.
Lots of ducks being seduced by my Donald Donald impressions.
:)
Girlfriend looking cool.
After the hike we walked around a pier before dinner.
What did "B" do to give someone enough initiative to do this?
Under the restaurant.
Yum.
The view from the restaurant.
