A Hike Around Lake Anza and a Pier

Last Saturday me and my girlfriend hiked around Lake Anza. There was a good amount of people here although it's seemingly in secluded part of the Bay Area. Overall, it was a pleasant hike and I was able to get some good shots. Take a look. :)

The Lake. You can see people swimming (getting slimy) and beaching in the distance.
The type of terrain that we trekked.
The guy that does not give a fuck. One of the swimmers decides to swim across the lake. Midway, the lifeguard in the most mundane voice you can imagine says "Please swim within the boundaries." Needless to say that both parties did not give a fuck. He was able to make that swim and all was well.
Lots of ducks being seduced by my Donald Donald impressions.
:)
Girlfriend looking cool.

After the hike we walked around a pier before dinner.
What did "B" do to give someone enough initiative to do this?

Under the restaurant.
Yum.
The view from the restaurant.

Weekly Congregation for Volleyball in San Francisco Chinatown

Betty Ann Ong Playground. But to the locals, CC. Religiously every Wednesday night, I've been going there to play casual pick up games with my old volleyball friends as well as new ones.
One of the players goes up for the spike!
We're not professional players or anything, we're just a bunch of regulars who enjoy volleyball. We are randomly grouped into teams of six to play one another. Volleyball is one of the most unselfish games out there. It requires teamwork since no one can touch the ball twice in a row, so there is trust of each other having their back. People are also nice and are there mostly just to have fun.

Last week was one of the regulars birthday and he even brought a big cake for everyone to eat! Needless to say, this is a great environment to be around and I really enjoy playing with these guys every week.

The Godly Hour

Lunch.

A time of liberation.

A time when you take a step back from work, be free from obligations and dedicate time to enjoyment and fulfillment.

Lunch has been a time of bliss for me working in the Financial District of San Francisco.

There is so much good eats around you and the vibe of being surrounded by the busyness of people walking around is comforting.

Today, I brought my camera and hunted some shots.

I stopped by the mural decorated Rincon Center and checked a Thai place out.

As sat by the pier to indulge, I noticed how this peculiar sturdy guy was spending his lunch.

He ate; like most non-anorexic folk, but he also tended to a flock of pigeons around him. This was my first time eating at this location and am unsure of why he does it, how long he's been doing it, or if he's even working or not. But this scene really showed me the beauty of lunch. Sitting there in a collared shirt tucked into his pants, he frees himself for that brief moment and just simply enjoys himself in the Godly hour.

Look at how he takes off his shoes. He is truly at home.
